Duo Deciso

The DUO DECISO came to life in 1988, when Ulrich Uhland Warnecke and Martin Wiedmann both studied with Prof. Mario Sicca at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart. Ulrich is a prolific composer for the guitar, his work being published at "Verlag Hubertus Nogatz".

The DUO DECISO has played throughout Europe. The artists have explored most of the repertoire for two Guitars. Besides, the Duo cooperated in various projects with larger Ensembles.

Among the favourites: Tango Suite by Astor Piazzolla, Jongo (Paolo Bellinati), Diapason (Jakob ter Veldhuis), pieces by Albeniz, Granados, Rodrigo, Barrios, Satie as well as Classics like Sor and Renaissance Music.

There is available a CD including "Musica Incidental Campesina" (Brouwer), "2 Dancas" (Gismonti), "Diapason"(ter Veldhuis) and "Tango Suite" (Piazzolla).

The DUO DECISO appears on the CD "Jazz Crossover Klassik", Edition Musikat.

Tracks: Danza Paraguaya (Barrios), "Espanana" (Satie), 2nd Tango from "Tango Suite" (Piazzolla), Castilla (Albeniz)

(Gitarre&Laute Jahrgang XIX/1997, Heft 1)
